A 1940 photograph shows children at the Weedpatch Migrant Camp, immortalized by John Steinbeck in Grapes of Wrath. The camp will soon be the site of a museum devoted to Okie history. Artifacts recovered from the camp and expected to go on display include wash basins, pots, and an ice box.
