A record of a possible Viking raid has been discovered on the island of Inchmarnock off the west coast of Scotland. Graffiti scratched into a flat piece of slate depict long-haired warriors dressed in chain mail leading an individual in shackles to a ship. The artifact was among a collection of decorated and inscribed stones found at the edge of an Early Christian monastery.
