BURDUR, TURKEY—A fourth pillar marking the corners of the agora at Sagalassos has been unearthed by a team led by Marc Waelkens of Belgium’s Leuven University. The well-preserved pillar dates to the first century B.C. “In each corner of the agora there a sculptures of people that built the agora. This pillar is the fourth of them. These pillars were constructed by the famous people of the city,” explained team architect Ebru Torun.
