Insight Legacy of Henry VIII	An inventory of Heng Henry's possessions, undertaken after his death by a royal commission, is now being published in three volumes as Inventory of King Henry VIII (London: The Society of Antiquaries of London and Harvey Miller Publishers). The accusation by historians that the monarch bankrupted England with foreign wars and expenditures on his palaces takes no account of his capital resources--gold, silver, precious jewels, munitions, and other contents of his palaces and estates. Publication of the inventory is prompting a reassessment of Henry's reign. By James Wiseman
