The Archaeological Institute of America will hold its Annual spring fundraising Gala at Capitale in New York City. The Gala will celebrate all things Turkish, drawing inspiration from Turkey's rich archaeological and cultural past. The event will honor Crawford H. Greenewalt, Jr., longtime excavator at Sardis, with the Bandelier Award for Public Service to Archaeology. Learn more or buy tickets at archaeological.org/gala.

National Archaeology Day is a celebration of archaeology and the thrill of discovery. Every October the AIA and its societies throughout the United States and Canada presents archaeological programs and activities in over 100 cities for people of all ages and interests. Whether it is a family-friendly archaeology fair, a guided tour of a local archaeological site, a simulated dig, a lecture or a classroom visit from an archaeologist, the interactive, hands-on programs presented by the Institute and our societies provide the chance to indulge your inner Indiana Jones.
