Subscriber Alert!

Subscribers to ARCHAEOLOGY Magazine have received renewal notifications, subscription offers, and invoices in the mail from numerous companies that are not authorized representatives or agents of ARCHAEOLOGY or the Archaeological Institute of America. This is a problem throughout the magazine industry that negatively affects valued subscribers as well as both large and small publishers, as outlined in this article on MSNBC:

We do not share our mailing list with these companies, nor do we ever intentionally fill orders from them or authorize them to sell ARCHAEOLOGY in any way. The offers these companies send are under many different names and addresses, but the forms the companies use are generally the same. Samples of the forms these companies send out are below.

If you received a renewal notice or invoice that you suspect is not from ARCHAEOLOGY, you can check the status of your subscription by:

If you receive a fraudulent offer in a different format than the samples above, please mail it to ARCHAEOLOGY Subscriptions, Archaeological Institute of America, 656 Beacon St., Boston, MA 02215.

Renewals to ARCHAEOLOGY should only be sent to ARCHAEOLOGY, PO Box 433091, Palm Coast, FL 32143-9813. Members of the Archaeological Institute of America who subscribe as part of their membership should continue to send renewals to our national office at 656 Beacon St., Boston, MA 02215.

Thank you.
