Find of Week Two

Weaponry produced at Tepe Düzen and found in one of the rooms of the large structure (called Tepe Düzen 2) is represented by this iron javelin head, above, and a bronze arrow head, below. The high quality of these Early Iron Age 5 (the earlier part of the sixth to fourth century B.C.) pieces, shown here after cleaning by the small finds lab, contributed to their selection as find of the week of 2008's second week.
