I just found your Sept. post on the diary of James Poe. My gguncle was on Johnson's Island. He was from AR. but I think his regiment was absorbed into the VA army. I am very interested in any info about Johnson's Island. My ancestor's name was Oliver Smith Jones. He left a nice history for us. If you are interested in a copy I would gladly share it. It tells about the battles that he was in and his general disgust for the war. It is a very good history.
