John L. Cotter: In Memoriam February 22, 1999

It is with deep regret that we heard that the distinguished historical archaeologist John L. Cotter, who had served on ARCHAEOLOGY's editorial advisory board since 1968, passed away on February 5th at age 87. Our sympathy goes out to his wife, daughter, and son.--The Editors
