There's still a dizzying amount to excavate in and around the Great Temple. The extent of the Temple complex are still being uncovered. Columns and floors continue to emerge, connecting one section of the Temple to another so that we may someday understand more fully how the space was used, and how that use changed over time.

Beyond the Great Temple, of course, even more remains to be unearthed, particularly free-standing structures like the Great Temple. The hint of an unexcavated foundation here and there can be seen by a person hiking in the area.
