I understand that archeaologists have not been able to further excavate the site, since, it still belongs to the landowner. There has been much debate on whether it is indeed a remnant from an ancient civilization or a modern age septic tank. Should not we concentrate on purchasing the land so a thorough excavation can take place to define this site? What have we got to loose? If the results lead to our modern civilation septic tank, well the land can be sold. Afterall, with all the publicity it has received and it's terrific location on Brickell, developers will probrably fight over!
