The sanctuary is at the southern end of the site and contains the oldest visible remains dating to the sixth century B.C. Here are the remains of an ancient healing cult built around a cave in the hillside on the west side of the sanctuary dedicated to the local god Glan. An underground spring, or nymphaeum, reached by a flight of stairs, is located opposite the cave sanctuary, built up in masonry in the Hellenistic period (second century B.C.), and with a temple on either side--Valetudo (goddess of health) to the north; Hercules Victor to the south.
